Data Storage Finder
The Data Storage Finder is an interactive widget that helps researchers and the UT Dallas campus community to quickly identify storage solutions that meet differing data security requirements.
REDCap
Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is a secure web application used to collect research data, create robust surveys/forms, and manage online databases. Make use of REDCap survey features such as automated survey invitations, branching logic, field validation, and more. Developed by Vanderbilt University, REDCap is a consortium-based application that is free to use by the UT Dallas community.
DMPTool
DMPTool is a free, open-source, online application that helps researchers create data management plans (DMP) that comply with funder requirements. The Office of Research requires DMPs for all non-fundamental research projects, additionally DMPs are increasingly required for fundamental research by many funding agencies as part of the grant proposal submission. Using the DMPTool, researchers can save, edit, and share plans as well as request a review of their DMPs and TCPs (hyperlink) from the Data Management Services team.
ORCID
ORCID (Open Researcher & Contributor ID) is a free, open, non-profit organization that aims to uniquely distinguish researchers from one another by providing a unique persistent digital identifier, an ORCID iD, that exists indefinitely. An ORCID iD disambiguates a researcher and their work, with the goal to ensure researchers get the proper credit for their research. Additionally, an ORCID Record is a unified collection of a researcher’s biography, publications, and additional information that can be imported into other systems, such as an NCBI SciENcv Biosketch, reducing the manual re-entry of the same information across multiple systems.
Open Science Framework (OSF)
Developed by the Centre for Open Science, the Open Science Framework is a free, open-source platform that can be used to manage a project throughout each step of the research data management lifecycle. A versatile platform, researchers can use it to organize, collaborate, store, and share components of a research project.
Globus
Use Globus to swiftly transfer large amounts of non-sensitive research data between UT Dallas or off-campus systems. Globus provides the infrastructure to unify access to multiple storage locations; all you need is your campus log-in.
AWS
AWS provides a broad range of services enabling diverse and flexible workloads without significant upfront infrastructure purchases.
SciENcv
Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae (SciENcv) is an online tool in the My National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) platform that allows researchers to create funder specific biosketches that can be used when submitting grant applications or annual reports.
